Is the itel A60 the Best Budget Phone of 2023?
It has been disclosed by itel, that the A60, its most budget-friendly 4G smartphone, has been officially launched in 17 African countries through its partnerships with 9 different carriers. This device will also be made available in India and Bangladesh.
The itel A60 is an Android 12 Go Edition smartphone that boasts its 6.6” IPS LCD display, which comes with a 720 x 1,612px resolution (20:9). The screen operates at 60Hz with 120Hz touch sampling rate, with the 5MP selfie camera neatly notched into it.
At the back, an 8MP primary camera is found, which is accompanied by a depth sensor and fingerprint reader on its own island. Both the reader and selfie camera can be used for secure unlocks.
The Unisoc SC9832E chipset powers the Go Edition software, which is based on a basic 28nm chipset with four Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-G820 MP1 GPU. It is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage, with an additional microSD slot that can accommodate up to 128GB of cards.
The phone is equipped with a large 5,000mAh battery inside, which claims to provide up to 8 hours of web browsing or near-equivalent hours of video viewing. The device is wired with an outdated microUSB port, and a 3.5mm jack on top. It is available in Blue, Green, and Black colors.
Price is a noteworthy aspect that has to be discussed as well. The itel A60 can be purchased on the company’s Indian website for a sum of ₹6,000. Furthermore, it has been found in a store in Ghana for GHS 774 and in Nigeria for NGN 48,350 and the expected price in Bangladesh is BDT 9,500.
